These are not ordinary times. Why should Church be ordinary?

At its best, Church has been countercultural, standing and acting against “Business as Usual”, that dominant, oppressive paradigm of “power over”. At its best, the Church tells a different story, standing against that which would lull us into complacency and those false senses of security that let us avoid confronting racism, environmental degradation, violence, and our own (however unwilling) participation in Creation’s destruction on all levels.

At its best, Church is prophetic, calling out injustice of all forms, helping people grieve the world’s brokenness, and offering a vision for a new Creation. The Church cries out with lament – but also hope. That is prophetic witness, and the Church’s life of worship, fellowship, and service needs to embody that prophetic witness.

This website focusses its resources on two aspects of church life and its prophetic calling – worship, and personal reflection. This is the core, the root, the base of our action. It doesn’t stop there, but it’s a place to start.

This compilation of resources is by no means comprehensive. It is what I have written and will continue to write, and I offer it to you. Use these resources as you see fit, within the boundaries reflected in the Creative Commons. Let me know how you’ve used them, and how they were received.
